Morija
Geography and history
Morija is a busy village situated in the Maseru region of Lesotho. This village, located in the magnificent, deep valley of Caledon, is situated only 45 km from the country’s capital, Maseru. This beautiful village was laid out by the French Protestant Missionaries and has the earliest mission station in the country.
Morija is well-known for its outstanding mission press and book depot. Although only a village, this area is home to nine educational institutions and a conference centre. This village is one of the most important historical sites in Lesotho – known as the Selibeng sa Thut.
