Geography and history

Molimo Nthuse is the area of the pony-trekking centre in the Thaba-Tseka region of Lesotho. Pony-trekking is a very popular activity in the beautiful natural surroundings of Lesotho. The Ministry of Agriculture operates this centre where they offer affordable ponies and guides for your trip. A choice between a couple of hours and a couple of days will have you trekking past magnificent waterfalls, interesting villages and other scenic attractions.This is a new and exciting area that has just opened up to tourism. The most attractive circuit will be Maseru – Hlotse - Katse Dam - Thaba-Tseka - Molimo Nthuse - Maseru,once the two roads are fully tarred. The Katse Dam to ThabaTseka section is untarred.

The area around the Thaba-Tseka region offers tourists great views of mountain peaks, waterfalls and deep valleys. These attractions form part of the picturesque beauty of Lesotho.
